Eric Peterson has been training and showing dogs competitively since 1997. He has been teaching dog obedience classes at Pet Medical Center in Orem since 2003. He owns and co-breeds Dobermans under the Irongate Kennel name and has co-bred multiple AKC champions, Grand Champions, Top 20 obedience and High in Trial dogs. He currently is working at Utah's Hogle Zoo as a senior keeper in the Elephant building. He has been with the zoo since 1994. He has trained the elephants to perform many of the behaviors his dogs have achieved including downs and retrieves. This combination of training elephants and dogs has given Eric a depth of understanding in the animal care world.
